EL on Itunes

Electric LarryLand’s Podcast is now being carried by Itunes.

In the latest version of Itunes, Apple has added a new content type called Podcasts

What this means for everyone is that now small independent producers (such as myself) can now publish content and compete directly with larger companies.

Many of you know that I have been producing content for larger companies for years… This new free service allows me to publish my content and get it to you (free of charge) in a very convenient and expedient way.

If you have not downloaded the latest version of Itunes… do it now!

Here is how you can subscribe to my Podcast and get new music, interviews, and behind the scenes information about my work and the rest of the music industry:

  1. Click here and download the latest version of Itunes.
  2. After Itunes is installed, look on the left hand side and click on the word Podcasts
      3. This will bring up a blank screen (because you haven’t subscribed to any podcasts yet)…
  3. Look near the bottom and click on the words “Podcast Directory”
  4. On your left just above the “Search All Podcasts” link is a blank white rectange
  5. Click on that rectangle and enter the word “Electric LarryLand”
  6. Itunes will then bring up a window and my Podcast will be listed there
  7. Look for the word Subscribe and click on it…
      8. My Podcast should be listed there
  8. Just to the left of the words “Electric LarryLand” you will see a small triangle… click on it and it will open up the shows that are available
      9. Cool, huh!!!!
  9. Click on the shows that you are interested in…

That’s it!

Alternatively, you can simply Click on this link and it will launch your iTunes for you and take you to the page where you can subscribe to my podcast (for free, of course).

Once my shows have been downloaded to your computer, you can either listen to them on your computer directly, or you can sync them into your Ipod or other portable listening device and listen to them later.

This is the coolest new technology that I have come across since the invention of the computer…

There are several new shows planned along with some famous and also not-so-famous guests… in all cases, the shows are entertaining and you will be gently educated while you’re being entertained… cool!


    Some helpful hints:

      If you look at the lower right hand corner of the Podcasts screen that shows “Electric LarryLand” you will see a button that says “Settings”
      Click on that button and under the “Podcasts” tab you can choose to automatically get new shows for you.

      Try setting the “Check for New Episodes” to Every Day, and set the “When new episodes are available” set that to “Download All”.

Ok, now back to work!
